BollySitter says

SONALI CABLE is a David vs Goliath story set in Mumbai, against the backdrop of India’s cable operating industry. The film is appropriate for viewing with kids in the 13+ age group due to violence, sexuality, language and sexual innuendos. A strong message for everyone, including kids, which lies at the heart of the film, is eventually lost amidst a hotchpotch of needless drama, unnecessary violence, wasted romantic scenes and sexual innuendos galore, resulting in an overall lost opportunity.

Content

SONALI CABLE depicts the story of a strong-headed young girl who provides cable service to over 3000 homes in Mumbai. When her small business is threatened by a large multinational cable company which plans to buy out all local operators, she joins hands with her friends to fight and resist the takeover attempt. During their struggle, people die, old friends part ways, new ones join, politicians and lawmakers forge alliances, criminals wreak havoc and other standard Bollywood “calamities” occur. The film tries to bite off more than it can chew, resulting in an outcome that sounds great on paper but is immensely amateurish in execution.
